Each player is dealt 2 hole cards. Then there is a round of betting, initiated by 2 mandatory bets called blinds placed into the pot by players to their left. Once the bets have been made, the next card is dealt face up. This is called the flop.
Once the flop is revealed, there is another round of betting. A player can raise their bet, call it (place a bet equal to the last one), or check (pass on placing a bet). Then the 5th and final card is dealt face up, this is called the river. The best 5 card poker hand wins the pot – which is all bets made at each stage of the hand.

It should also include a detailed self-examination of each hand played and the results. This can be done with a written analysis, or by discussing your game with others.
